High Park Studio.

A backyard pottery studio for a ceramics artist

A ceramics artist approached Sustainable with the desire to of create a fully functional pottery studio.

Sustainable created a new studio space equipped with a kiln, a sink with a clay trap, prep area and ample storage space to house her ceramic art. The pottery studio has deep overhangs to filter an optimal amount of light and solar heat into the space, creating a beautiful, bright workspace. The studio was designed with adaptability in mind, with the feasibility of future conversion factored into the architecture.

From the client

I hired Paul and his team, Nicholas and Joel, to design an artist studio to replace a single car garage that needed to come down. The permit process was very involved and we ended up going to the committee of adjustments. Sustainable.to did a great job of managing this whole process and I got exactly what I wanted including plumbing to the building which every one said would be impossible! They also found a great contractor who did a fantastic job on the build. Overall I would recommend.
